I provide therapy for clients that are feeling the distress and dysfunction of their current circumstances. It may seem like life is overwhelming and big feelings are taking control. For some it may look like racing thoughts and unwanted flashbacks; while for others it may look like significant changes in energy levels and challenges sleeping. These are all signals the body is telling us that something is going on.
I strive to help clients overcome the emotional distress that is experienced by facing the challenges of life. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients can explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and gain insights into their struggles. Through evidence-based therapeutic techniques and compassionate listening, I aim to assist clients in their journey towards healing and personal growth.
I have a rich background in helping individuals across the age spectrum navigate life’s challenges.
My therapeutic approach is firmly rooted in the strength perspective, where I empower clients by recognizing their inherent resilience. I also place a strong emphasis on psychoeducation, equipping clients with valuable knowledge. I listen to my clients and utilize tailored therapeutic modalities based on each client’s unique needs.
I received a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Bowie State University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from New York University. My expertise extends to assessing clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma experiences, and adjustment disorders. My passion is to help individuals find their path to mental well-being and make a positive impact on their lives.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my areas of focus include:
Teen + Family Therapy | Anxiety | Depression | First Generation Issues | Trauma
If you’re ready to get started, I always offer a 15-min phone consult to see if we are a good fit. I’d love to help you or a member of your family get the help they need to live better.
